THE ONLINE Hotel MARKETING CASE OF CASTELL D’EMPORDA
Castell d’Emporda is one of Spain’s most iconic castle hotels. The hotel approached Orange Hotel Marketing to develop their website and plan an upturn in online marketing performance.
We started by writing a Game Plan. This strategic report outlines the current state of affairs, defines ambitious KPIs and plans the path towards these goals. In addition to the long-term online strategy, we shaped the different tactical plans of the hotel. These focused on direct bookings, brand fans, the MICE market and brand awareness.

During the months that followed, we developed different online advertisements, from SEA to re-marketing and social media. Once we completed the development of the website, we were able to direct more traffic to the booking engine by implementing subtle notifications, landing pages and tools to increase engagement with website users.
By analyzing the different KPIs of Castell d’Emporda every month, we have been able to continuously optimize the performance in close liaison with the local hotel team. Additionally, we executed A/B tests and user experience analyses. We reported back via the client dashboard, which is available to the marketing team of the hotel. This team was able to also use this data to act on their side, facilitated by our online ‘Academy’.
