  • Rosewood Schloss Fuschl, Salzburg – Hotel Schloss Fuschl will reopen in late 2023 under the Rosewood flag. It’s a 15th-century castle on the banks of Lake Fuschl surrounded by mountains and forests. It’ll feature 98 rooms (of which 46 suites), restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and more.   • Mandarin Oriental Vienna – The 25 exclusive Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Vienna are situated on the top three floors of the hotel which is housed in a heritage building that originally served as the city’s commercial law court for nearly a century. Official Website > 
  • The Cõmodo, Bad Gastein – Reborn from the bones of an old clinic, the property translates mid-century modernism into a mountain escape. The 70 rooms and suites feature bold shapes and pops of color in an ode to the styles of the 1960s and 70s, while shades of rich wine and bottle-green create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Czech Republic
  • W Prague – W Prague will offer 161 stylish guest rooms and suites, including the Extreme Wow (Presidential) Suite. The new hotel will feature a rooftop bar with an outdoor terrace, set to be the ultimate destination for style-savvy locals and guests to enjoy sweeping cityscape views and a fabulous cocktail and culinary experience. 
Finland
  • Grand Hansa Hotel, Helsinki – In Q2 of 2023, The Unbound Collection will enter the Nordics with a hotel in a historic building in Finland’s capital. This 224-room base for leisure and business travel will be strategically located opposite the main train station and landmarks such as the Finnish National Theatre.
France
  • COMO Le Montrachet – New luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Burgundy. It is located in one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions. Official Website >
  • Canopy by Hilton, Cannes – Opening next Spring in the iconic Le Suquet neighbourhood, guests at Canopy by Hilton Cannes will enjoy spectacular views of the Old Port from the hotel’s enviable rooftop terrace. Official Website >
  • Hyatt Place, Cannes – Among the 152 rooms,Hyatt Place Cannes will feature seven suites and two dining areas, the Zoom Glocal Dining bar-restaurant, a rooftop and an infinity pool with sea view. The lobby and lounge, open on two floors and with fully glazed walls, are in addition to a fitness centre and event space.
  • Zoku Paris – In Q1 of 2023, Zoku Paris provides a home base for everyone who wants to live and work in Paris anywhere from a few days to a few months. You could call Zoku a re-invented apartment hotel – in fact – Zoku creates a new category in the hotel industry: a home-office hybrid, offering a relaxed place to live, work and socialize with like-minded people while getting wired into the city.   • Paragraph Hotel – Freedom Square, Tbilisi – This luxury hotel will have 220 guest rooms, meeting rooms, a fitness center with an infinity pool, a parking garage, a sky bar, and more. There also will be a cable car connection with a neighboring golf course.
Germany
  • The Hoxton, Berlin – In Charlottenburg (West-Berlin), near Kurfürstendamm, The Hoxton will open a hotel that will offer 239 rooms.
  • Rosewood, Munich – Rosewood’s first property in Germany will open in 2 iconic buildings in the old center. Combining traditional German architecture with modern elements, it will house 132 rooms & suites, a spa, and a pool amongst other amenities. Official Website >

  • Pnoēs Tinos, Tinos – the first member of Design Hotels on the Greek island of Tinos. With Original Aristides Dallas—one of Greece’s most celebrated architects—at the helm of the project, this three-villa property will exemplify a contemporary and sophisticated interpretation of Cycladic traditions.   • W Budapest – W Hotels prepares to make its brand entry in Hungary in 2023 with the opening of W Budapest. Located on Andrassy Avenue (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), directly across from the State Opera House on the city’s most luxurious shopping street, this historic palace will re-open its doors bringing local storytelling to life through the brand’s bold interpretation of luxury. Housed in the impressive Drechsler Palace, previously home to the Institute of Ballet, the new hotel will offer visionary design, eclectic gastronomy and a socially driven spirit drawn from the cosmopolitan capital. W Budapest will feature 151 stylish guestrooms and suites, including one Extreme WOW (Presidential) Suite.
  • Hotel Dorothea, Autograph Collection – Merging three historical buildings, Hotel Dorothea, Autograph Collection is the vision of acclaimed architect and designer, Piero Lissoni. Named after Duchess Dorothea, who was an influential character of the 1800s in Hungary, Hotel Dorothea will be a melting pot of architecture and interior design, where history and modernity meet, connecting guests with the local community and its heritage. 
Italy
  • Bvlgari Hotel, Rome – In a modernist building from the 1930s, in the Campo Marzio neighborhood, a new Bvlgari hotel will open. It will feature over 100 rooms (mostly suites) and a restaurant curated by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito. The Bvlgari flagship store is around the corner. Official Website >
  • Six Senses, Rome – In the palazzo building in the center of ancient Rome, the first Six Senses property in Italy will be opened. It will offer 95 guest rooms and suites, a spa, and a rooftop terrace with a 360 degrees view. Official Website >
  • Nobu, Rome – Located in the historic heart of Rome, on the exclusive and world-renowned Via Veneto and just a short walk from the stunning park of Villa Borghese, Piazza Barberini, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza di Spagna, Nobu Hotel Roma is the union of two 19th Century buildings combined to create a modern masterpiece that celebrates its grand, historic past.   • The Rome EDITION – Expected to open in early 2023, EDITION Hotels’ first Italian property will feature 93 guest rooms and suites along with two Penthouses each with a private terrace.   • Rosewood Porto Cervo, Sardinia – Another new hotel on the beautiful island of Sardinia, close to Porto Cervo town in Costa Smeralda. It’ll feature 65 rooms and suites, complemented by 180-degree ocean views. Official Website >
  • Delano Porto Cervo, Sardinia – On the same Smeralda coast, sbe’s Delano will have a boutique hotel open around June 2023. After a redevelopment and remodel of an existing Luigi Vietti-designed property, 68 rooms will be steps away from the beach. A restaurant and beach club will be part of it as well.
  • J.K. Place Milano, Milan – In Via Borgopesso 15, in the heart of the fashion district, J.K. Place’s first property in Milan will arise. The project will contain 38 rooms. Official Website >
  • The Langham, Venice – With its direct frontage on the Venetian Lagoon, the 138-key hotel is located on the island of Murano, long revered for its centuries-old tradition of glass making. The Langham, Venice will be housed in the former Casino Mocenigo which can trace its legacy to the early 1600s.   • Janu Montenegro – On the Adriatic coast, Janu’s first Montenegrin resort and spa will open. It will offer multiple pools and an outdoor bar and restaurant. Official Website >
  • Mamula Island, Bay of Kotor  – Grand opening in March 2023. A long-abandoned 19th-century fortress on a previously uninhabited islet is being revitalized by architecture firm MCM London to create a sophisticated destination with historic and modern accommodations, a glass-covered courtyard, a memorial museum, an elegant spa, multiple restaurants and bars, outdoor pools, and a club for non-motorized watersports. Norway
  • Svart, Meløy – A UFO-shaped, futuristic self-sustainable bespoke resort that is energy positive will open at the foot of the Svartisen glacier. It is located off-grid on the west coast of Norway. Official Website >
Portugal
  • The Curator Hotel, Lisbon – Located in the historic district of Belém – Alcântara. More specifically, the property will be located within the Palace of the Counts of Ribeira Grande, which dates to the beginning of the 18th century, plus a newly built annex—both of which will also house the Museum of Contemporary Art Armando Martins, a new cultural project dedicated to modern and contemporary art.   • Nobu Madrid – Centrally positioned in the heart of the Spanish capital’s Cortes District, Nobu Hotel Madrid will see the transformation of an existing office building, located at 26 Calle Alcalá, between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. The hotel will offer a tri-level Nobu restaurant and bar, an expansive rooftop bar, and a lounge with views over the skyline together with a state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa.   • Nobu San Sebastián – With a strong focus on cuisine, local culture, and architectural design combined with an air of celebrity, Nobu may have met its match in San Sebastián.   • Maritim Hotel Amsterdam – In the up-and-coming Amsterdam North, the city’s largest hotel will be bookable in 2023. On the IJ Waterfront, the 34-story building will have 579 hotel rooms and suites. Furthermore, it will have a wellness oasis, landscaped rooftop terrace, and large underground parking.   • Rosewood Amsterdam – In the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage site (the Amsterdam canal district), Rosewood will open a hotel inside a more than 350-year-old former main courthouse. 2. Hotels Opening in the Middle East (2023)

Saudi Arabia
  • The Red Sea Project – On Saudi Arabia’s coast, near Hanak, Tabuk, an ambitious, 28,000 km2 regenerative luxury tourism megaproject is coming to life. In phase 1 (finished in 2023), The Red Sea Development Company had planned to develop 5 islands with on and around them 16 hotels. By 2030 there should be 22 developed islands and 48 hotels in total. To make those easy accessible, the Red Sea International Airport is being built and is planned to be finished later this year. By 2030 this airport is expected to service 1 million passengers.     • Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea – On the mainland at the west coast 76-accommodation resort will be opened in early 2023, together with a spa and a multi-functional center featuring meeting rooms, restaurants, and bars. Official Website >
    • St Regis Red Sea Resort, Ummahat Island – On one of the private islands in the Red Sea, the resort with 90 villas, 2 restaurants, a children’s club and more is expected to open in 2023.
    • The Red Sea EDITION, Shurayrah Island – This luxury hotel will feature 240 rooms, including 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom suites. Plans are to furthermore offer 2 signature restaurants, a beach bar, a spa and more. 
    • Grand Hyatt The Red Sea, Shurayrah Island – This 430-room luxury resort hotel will blend in seamlessly with the environment: the design of the hotel will resemble a bloom of coral.
    • Fairmont Red Sea, Shurayrah Island – Next to the 18-hole championship golf course, a Fairmont hotel will open. It will feature 200 rooms, overwater restaurants with Red Sea and mangrove views, a spa center and more.
    • SLS Red Sea, Shurayrah Island – This project will feature 150 rooms including 12 suites and 15 villas with private pools. These luxury accommodations will be spread out over more than 74,000m2. Striking amenities include a ball room and Altitude Pool.
    • Raffles Red Sea, Shurayrah Island – Another hotel that is part of the Red Sea Project will be a Raffles one. Amenities will include 6 F&B venues, a spa and a 565m2 meeting space. 
    • Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve – This will be Ritz-Carlton’s first in the Middle-East. The resort will be expected to feature 63 1-4 bedroom villas. Amongst other luxurious amenities, there will be a Conservation Centre for edutainment.
    • Rosewood Red Sea, Shurayrah Island – This Rosewood hotel will feature 149 rooms and suites. A signature Manor Club will be one of the unique amenties it has to offer. Official Website >
    • Miraval Red Sea, Shurayrah Island – This luxury resort will have 180 rooms and suites. What stands out is that it will feature the ‘Life in Balance Spa’, the largest spa of the Red Sea Project. Other interesting features include a walking trail system and a mangrove boardwalk.
  • Aman Al-ʿUla – Aman’s first property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be situated in the northwest. This destination covers 2.2M hectares with an oasis, sandstone mountains and includes Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO Heritage site. Amongst those, Aman is building a tented camp and 2 resorts – one near the heritage areas and one in the desert.
United Arab Emirates
  • Anantara Mina Al Arab, Ras Al Khaimah – Only 45 minutes from Dubai, Anantara will open a Maldivian-style resort with 174 guest rooms, suites, and overwater villas. Official Website >
  • The Lana, Dorchester Collection – Opening in September 2023, a  striking building positioned among the gleaming skyscrapers of the vibrant Business Bay area and beside the waters of Dubai Canal, The Lana stands out as an architectural marvel. Space, light and extraordinary views are to be the defining features of the 225 rooms and suites, where Gilles et Boissier combine traditional elements with contemporary touches inspired by the spirit of Dubai. India
  • Sayaji Hotels, Madhya Pradesh – Jameel Sayed, Director Business Development of Sayaji Hotels announced that by the end of 2023 6 new hotels will be opened in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India’s north. These will include Sayaji Gwalior, Effotel Bhopal, Enise Hoshangabad, Enrise Rewa, Enrise Harda, and Enrise Indore. Indonesia
  • Somewhere Lombok – The first project by sisters Claire and Valia Gontard, the property boasts 20 independent villas featuring private plunge pools and spectacular views with softly hued interiors. The buildings have all been designed to lead eyes outwards, with floor-to-ceiling windows and minimalistic interior design. Official Website > 
  • Cap Karoso, Sumba – On the Indonesian island of Sumba (an hour flight from Bali), 47 rooms and 20 villas will be available at Cap Karoso.   • Aman Niseko – Opening in one of Hokkaido island’s most popular skiing destinations, this resort – Aman’s 4th property in Japan – will be situated on the slopes of Mount Moiwa. It’ll provide access to skiing and snowboarding in winter, and hiking, mountain biking, and river rafting in the rest of the year.   • Mondrian – In the trendy Duxton Hill neighborhood, the first Singapore Mondrian hotel will be opened in 2023. It’ll feature 300 guest rooms, a rooftop pool and a signature restaurant. Official Website >

  • NH Collection Chiang Mai Ping River – Located on the bank of the Mae Ping River, NH Collection’s first Asian hotel will be opened in Q1 2023. Some of the 79 rooms and suites will feature a private swimming pool, while there will also be a multipurpose space combining a restaurant, cafe, art space and bar, and fitness center.   • Andaz One Bangkok – This luxury hotel will be part of One Bangkok and will feature 244 rooms. Guests will be overlooking Lumphini Park, while being in the midst of the central business district of Thailand’s capital.
  • Aman Nai Lert Bangkok – Named after Thailand’s first and most important developer and investor, this luxury 52-suite hotel will open on Wireless Road near Nai Lert Park. It’s designed with wraparound views, terraces and an atrium in the middle. Official Website >

4. Hotels Opening in Americas (2023)

Mexico
  • Thompson Monterrey – This 150-room lifestyle hotel will be Thompson’s 4th in Mexico. It will be located in the San Pedro Garza García, a contemporary financial and commercial area. The rooms are going to be situated inside a new iconic high-rise building. Highlights include a rooftop bar.
  • Hotelito by MUSA, Zihuatanejo – The 13-bedroom hotel is an integral part of an inspired paradise rooted in intention, pleasure, and good design that is also home to private residences, organic farms, a beach club, pickle ball courts, and freshwater bio pool, plus workspaces, a recording studio and a media arts hub soon to come. United States
  • Spirit, Utah – In Utah’s Zion National Park, a new luxury wilderness retreat will open its doors. Along the Clear Creek Mountains, 40 suites and homesteads will provide nature views through panoramic windows and wraparound terraces.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie, Arizona – This luxury retreat near Scottsdale will offer Ritz-Carlton service, secret gardens, a large swimming pool and more, with Camelback Mountain as a backdrop. Official Website >
  • Temple Detroit, Michigan – Originally to open in June 2020 – but disrupted by the pandemic, this boutique hotel’s construction works are scheduled to continue this fall. After the historic renovation, the 1920s building designed by Albert Kahn will house 101 rooms and 64 apartments.   • Omni PGA Frisco Resort, Texas – This resort will be focused on corporate meetings and has a partnership with PGA. Because of that, there will be an 18-hole championship golf course.   • Dream Las Vegas, Nevada – This free-standing luxury lifestyle hotel will open on the strip, on Las Vegas Boulevard near the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign. The hotel tower (21 stories) will feature 450 guest rooms and suites, 7 dining and nightlife venues, a full-service spa and more. 
  • Rosewood Houston, Texas – In Houston’s Uptown District a 150-room, 2-restaurant ultra luxury venue will be opened in 2023. This will be Rosewood’s second property in Texas.  
  • Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort – 150 stand-alone guest homes will form Kona Village, an 81-acre resort that will be re-opened. Close to Kona International Airport, right on the coast, this will also be an ideal location for weddings. Official Website > 

5. Hotels Opening in Africa (2023)

Cameroon
  • DoubleTree by Hilton, Douala – After a big renovation of the Douala Rabingha Hotel is finished, Hilton will open it as a DoubleTree hotel in 2023. It will be situated in the Bonanjo district, where there are lots of corporate and government offices. Next to 141 guest rooms and several F&B outlets, it will feature spa & fitness facilities, as well as a children’s playground. For corporate guests, there will be 4 meeting rooms and a ballroom. 
Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Kertel Suites, Kinsasha – Located in Gombe, the business district and close to the N’Dolo Airport, this boutique hotel will have leisure facilities such as a rooftop restobar, a roof swimming pool, 3 banquet halls and a French bakery-bistro.
Kenya
  • JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge, Kenya – Located in the Masai Mara National Reserve, 20 private tents, a restaurant, a spa, and an outdoor terrace with fire pits will be constructed from which visitors can have the opportunity to observe the Big Five. South Africa
  • Radisson Hotel Middelburg – A contemporary, new hotel will be opened in Middelburg by Radisson in 2023. Close to the town’s main shopping complex, this new build will feature 150 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.
Seychelles
  • laïla, Seychelles, a Tribute Portfolio Resort – Located just across from the beach, its 76 guestrooms and eight suites complete with plunge pools offer stunning views of the ocean or the breathtaking surrounding mountains. The resort caters to the needs of every leisure guest with three restaurants, three bars, a delicatessen, spa, barbershop, gym, swimming pool and kids club. Designed in collaboration with MMAC Design, the new opening will create a place of harmony with a calming colour palette complemented by pops of green which pay homage to the beautiful tropical surroundings.   • Kempinski Hotels – Kempinski Hotels plans to open 3 properties in Tanzania in 2023: 2 luxurious lodges and a high-end tented camp. These will be located in close vicinity to each other, making a round trip possible: Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National Park.   • Radisson Hotel Tunis – This hotel will be located in the north of Tunisia’s capital and will feature 117 rooms and suites. It will be part of the IQ Smart Building & Business Centre and next to Tunis Sport City. For leisure, the hotel will offer a wellness spa and a panoramic swimming pool, amongst other features.
